Inspired by this post on Hack A Day, I’ve decided to make one with XinCheJian’s logo. I’ve tried a few different free online QR code generators, only this one so far can generate correct QR code with Chinese characters. After generated the QR code with the message I want, I’ve opened it in Photoshop, added an overlay of XinCheJian logo on top, a bit of manipulation to remove overlapped areas of the QR code, save it again and voila! ]]>

his workshop this weekend for the upcoming roborace, after a good turn out last weekend for PCB design workshop our new H-Bridge shields for Arduino should be in this week just in time for putting them together and hacking on your Robot for the competition at this weekends workshop, so if you havn’t got yourself a cheap R/C toy yet, start shopping on TAOBAO or come on down and talk to TheNelson for some winning ideas. Michael will be around tonight – the user-controlled champion of R/C toys if you want a good insight to how he done it and how he managed to literally “blow the competition away” with his tank. Michael just got back into the country, Jet lag wont stop this guy from hacking tonight, he’s bringing with him a new CNC mill to put together – this will be awesome! Simplest hydroponic bucket setup

We found ours at friendly neighbor stores near the space.
The pipes from the pump are fixed on the basket with cable tie. It’s fixed in this way to provide water upward.
Soldering iron is good at making holes on the pipe. I tried simply punching the holes with screw driver but they are uneven. Soldering iron works much better.
Once the pipe is fixed, put a layer of ceramic balls and transplant the seedlings.

Thanks to Miclle Zhang bringing his electronic Wave board to XinCheJian today. He hacked it out of components found on Taobao combining a Wave Board and motor from electric bike. AWESOME Hack and we had a lot of fun playing with it this afternoon. Miclle is kind enough to leave it at the space to let anyone interested to check it out.
