RobotGroup is a company focused in the usage of robotics for educative purposes. It was funded in the year 2000 and since then it fused with "Multiplo" with it's constructive set. The company was awarded by the "INNOVAR" prize as the innovative product in 2010 . In 2011 it got the second prize. It has several agreements with institutions like the “Universidad Nacional Tecnológica¨ and the Ministry of Science and Technology from Argentina.

The constructive system has different electronics and mechanical parts that allow to develop different technological devices. They are all linked through simple bolts and nuts, with gears and poles. Each device connects to a controller board called ¨DuinoBot.Kids¨. It is powered by 3 AA batteries and it can be programmed using a graphical environment. Everything used is Open Source and the code generated by using blocks can be viewed in C/C++ language for advanced users

One of the most innovative upsides is how easy it is to be used by inexperienced users. Teachers can start using it without any technical background. Nevertheless it can be used as teaching material for different subjects. One of the reasons is the graphical programming environment. Other is that the controller has an user friendly interface. All the connections have been designed in order to have a simple but robust product.

The easy of use is complemented by it’s compatibility with third party’s products. There is plenty of information available in order to link and create integrations of all the products from RobotGroup with other standard products. There are several international distributors that use the same standard, making it’s eco-system richer.

An innovative aspect of our product is that is entirely designed “ Open Source “ . This is because the source code of the programming environment has been designed to be shared with others. Because the international community is sharing the knowledge of existent products. Because we want to share the improvements to the community that is willing to use them. Because we care how we are going to build the future.
